Providence launched the groundbreaking Geno4ME study because we believe in the promise of genomic medicine to help understand people on an individual level and to redefine the future of personalized care. The mission of Geno4ME, and of Genomics at Providence, is to increase the role of genomics for improving disease prevention and treatment. Historically, genomics has been expensive and out of reach for many people. We believe in personalized care for everyone, not just those who can afford it. Our goal is a world where prevention comes first and disease is caught earlier, driven by proactive and personalized care that keeps all of us in control of our lives. We strive to empower patients to live their best lives.
Providence will enroll thousands of patients into the Geno4ME study. All participants will undergo whole genome sequencing and answer health questionnaires. This, along with their electronic health records, will create a unique medical portrait of each patient in the study.
