Jill Davies, MS, CCGC

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Jill Davies is a leader in the field of genomic healthcare. A board-certified genetic counselor for over 20 years, she has dedicated her career to reinventing access to genomic medicine for health systems, providers, payers and patients.

Jill’s passion for improving access to genomic medicine led her to found GeneMatters in 2016, a telehealth genetic counseling company. Jill led GeneMatters as its CEO until it merged with Genome Medical in 2021 and became Chief Executive Officer of Genome Medical in mid-2022.

At Genome Medical, Jill has brought together clinical leaders in the field of genomics alongside top business leadership and technology talent to reinvent genetics care. She has led the pioneering of a virtual care delivery model and is leading the development of clinical support solutions to put standard-of-care genetic and genomic medicine within reach of every individual who can benefit.

Prior to founding GeneMatters in 2016, Jill was Director of Genetics at the Medcan Clinic in Toronto where she was responsible for developing and delivering leading-edge clinical genomics programs. With over 20 years of experience in the genomics field, Jill has broad expertise across clinical services, telehealth, strategic planning, business development and leadership. She has a special interest in the role of genomics in primary care and preventive medicine as well as the use of technology to enable access to genomic information and services.

Awards

Jill was selected as one of the Top Leaders in Digital Health for 2024 by Slice of Healthcare. She was also named a 2018 recipient of the award: Top 20 Courageous Women in Minnesota Health Care by the Women’s Health Leadership Trust. She received this prestigious recognition because of her vision to found GeneMatters, to serve patients who need genetic counseling through telehealth. Her deep knowledge of genetics and health care led her to assemble a team of highly skilled information technology experts to build the powerful telehealth platform, and to build a team of experienced genetic counselors and healthcare business leaders.
